Terre Haute Transit Utility
Mass transit is provided by the Terre Haute Transit Utility, a city owned bus service. They have regular routes running weekdays (no Saturdays and Sundays).

Weekday routes begin at 6:00 am and run until 6:00 pm. There is bus service offered on Saturday's.  No transit on Sundays or ten holidays throughout the year. The Terre Haute Transit Utility also offers bus service for ADA passengers. The service, Wheels to the World, is available during the same hours as the regularly fixed route buses. All ADA appointments must be made at least 24-hours in advance.

Senior Transportation
Area 7 Agency on Aging and Disabled offers transportation for persons over the age of 60-years and older and to physically challenged individuals under the age of 60 (applicable to SSBG guidelines) in Vigo, Parke and Vermillion Counties. Amtrak
Amtrak provides intercity passenger rail service to more than 500 destinations in 46-states on a 22,000-mile route system.

There are several Amtrak passenger stations within a 70-mile proximity of Terre Haute, those include: Crawfordsville, Indianapolis, and Lafayette of Indiana and, Champaign, Danville, Effingham, and Mattoon of Illinois.
