Indianapolis International Airport
Indiana's largest airport, the Indianapolis International Airport, is the hub  for aviation.  Located just 60-minutes from downtown Terre Haute off Interstate Highway 70, Indianapolis International Airport provides both passenger and cargo services.  The airport handles over 8.5 million passengers annually and is served by 29 airlines. A $1 billion dollar expansion is in progress and includes interstate improvement and construction of a new terminal.


Terre Haute International Airport is a transport category airport capable of serving the world’s largest aircraft, with three runways, the longest being 9,020 feet long and 150 feet wide. The nearest passenger airport is Indianapolis International Airport, 65-miles east. The Airport is served by FAA owned and operated radar and tower facilities.

Airport Development Zone
The Indiana General Assembly has designated the area around Terre Haute International Airport as an Airport Development Zone to encourage development of the area primarily for airport-related businesses. Businesses locating in and investing in the zone receive tax credits similar to those available in the Urban Enterprise Zone. In addition, the Airport Authority is permitted to use tax allocation financing to pay for public infrastructure to support business activity in the zone. The Airport Development Zone encompasses 5,070 acres and includes the 180-acre Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, South Campus-Certified Technology Park. 

Sky King Airport
Sky King Airport, a privately owned facility with remote runway lighting and a beacon, offers two runways, the longer of which is 3,600 feet.
