Food Manufacturer in Indiana Seeks a Comeback

Terre Haute, IN—Clabber Girl Corporation announced a business expansion earlier this month of an approximately 70,000 sq. ft. new manufacturing facility and the addition of 42 new jobs.   The ceremonial ground breaking that took place today will mark the first new construction on the site since the early 1920's.

Roofing Products Manufacturer to Acquire Standard Register Building;

66 New Jobs to be Created

Terre Haute, IN—Black Dog Ranch, LLC (BDR), a Colorado limited liability entity doing business in Idaho and California with its principal place of business in Bellevue, Idaho, today announced plans to purchase the former Standard Register Building at 1251 North Fruitridge Avenue in Terre Haute, Indiana.  BDR plans to create 66 new jobs in its first year of operation.  The company will initially invest over $4.7 million to acquire and equipment the 54,000 square-foot facility.  Key to BRD's decision to locate in Terre Haute was incentives offered by the State of Indiana and the City of Terre Haute.

Indy-based Steel Fabrication Company Expands to Terre Haute
Terre Haute, IN—Lenex Steel, an Indianapolis-based fabrication company, today announced plans to acquire the former Interstate Welding & fabrication building at 2325 South 6th Street in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Lenex plans to create 60 new jobs by 2008 as a result of its acquisition of the 100,000 square-foot facility.  The company plans to invest more than $3.5 million in building improvements and equipment.

Clabber Girl Expands to Meet Growing Demands
Terre Haute, IN—Clabber Girl Corporation, manufacturer of America's No. 1 retail baking powder, today announced that it will expand its operations with an approximately 70,000 square-foot building addition that is expected to create 42 new jobs over the next four years.  Clabber Girl will expand its current location, at Ninth and Wabash in Downtown Terre Haute.
