Terre Haute is one plane change away from virtually any major city in the world via Indiana's largest airport and main passenger hub for aviation, the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). IND is home to the second largest FedEx Express operations in the world and is the 8th largest cargo center in the United States.

Our Terre Haute Regional Airport (HUF) is 7 miles from our main street business district in Terre Haute Downtown. HUF offers the largest air transportation facility in west central Indiana and east central Illinois and is easily accessible from these locations. Military operations including unmanned systems and top-flight university programs use HUF.  Interstate Highway 70 runs adjacent to portions of the airport property.

HUF is the 3rd busiest airport in the state for operations with its 9,020 feet runway which handles the largest military and civilian aircraft.  Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) benefits are available via INzone.  HUF has over 5,000 acres in an Airport Development Zone whereby businesses locating in and investing in the zone are eligible to receive tax-credits. In addition, the Airport Authority is permitted to use TIF to pay for public infrastructure to support business activity in the zone. The Airport Development Zone encompasses the 180 acre Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, South Campus-Certified Technology Park.
