Fast-Growing Technology Company Expands to Terre Haute

May 15, 2008 - Terre Haute, IN - The Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation team and Alorica Inc. are pleased to announce plans for the opening of an in-bound customer service center at 1800 Fort Harrison Road, Suite 23 in Terre Haute. The center plans to hire more than 600 positions by the end of the year and anticipates that an expansion in 2009 is likely.

Boral Bricks Opens Largest Brick Manufacturing Facility in U.S. in Terre Haute, Indiana

$58 Million Environmentally Friendly Plant Powered by Methane Gas From Nearby Republic Services Landfill

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (March 13, 2008) – Boral Bricks Inc., the nation’s largest brick manufacturer and distributor of masonry products, opened a state-of-the-art brick manufacturing plant in Terre Haute, Ind., that will employ 50 full-time workers. Local and state officials, as well as Boral executives from as far away as Australia attended a ceremony at the plant this morning.

Packaging Company to Consolidate U.S. Manufacturing Operations in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (Feb. 8, 2008) – Applied Extrusion Technologies, one of the nation's largest manufacturers of plastic film packaging products, announced today it is consolidating its U.S. manufacturing operations here, creating 60 new jobs.

The Delaware-based company is closing its Covington, Va. manufacturing facility and beginning a $9 million project that will expand its Terre Haute facility and relocate products and an idled Virginia line to the Indiana plant.
