ThyssenKrupp Presta Announces $17.5 Million Expansion of its Terre Haute Facility

The new full-time jobs will consist of hourly and salaried positions. Hiring for qualified machine operators, quality inspectors and warehouse coordinators began in December 2009.

The expansion reflects increasing customer orders from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). It includes a 70,000 square foot addition for manufacturing and office space, completed in June 2010. The investment also covers the purchase and installation of new laser welding and bearing assembly lines. Installation of all new equipment is scheduled to be completed by November 2010.

“Today’s ribbon cutting is a significant milestone in our company’s history,” said ThyssenKrupp Presta Terre Haute President Peter Allaart. “The expansion of our workforce and our increased manufacturing capacity demonstrate our strong commitment to our customers and to the Terre Haute community.”
