Pfizer Begins Marketing State-of-the-Art Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility in Terre Haute

The state-of-the-art plant offers space that is flexible and could be configured for a wide range of industries including life sciences, technology, and food and beverage companies. The site will support new development as well.

More than half of the property’s buildings (357,000 square feet) have been newly constructed to cGMP manufacturing standards over the last 10 years. The specialized filling, packaging, and warehousing facilities supported distribution of products on a global scale. Pfizer has operated the site since 1948 and at its peak employed a highly trained workforce of approximately 800.

In addition to a specialized local life sciences workforce, the area is rich in higher education institutions. Indiana State University, Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and Ivy Tech Community College are locally based. Three Big Ten universities (Purdue University, Indiana University and the University of Illinois) with advanced research and engineering programs are located within 100 miles of the site.

The property is situated just south of I-70 with direct access to U.S. Highway 41 and State Highways 150 and 63, and is close to Terre Haute International Airport.

The City of Terre Haute and Vigo County, in partnership with the State of Indiana, offer a wide variety of incentive programs to businesses that expand their operations or establish new operations in the community. The scope of these incentives is based on the number and type of new jobs created or retained in Indiana, and new capital investment made in the community.

CB Richard Ellis has been retained by Pfizer to market the site. For detailed information, go to the property marketing website at www.cbre.com/pfizerterrehaute.
